Saree is often associated with grace. A saree consists of a drape varying from 4.5 m to 8 m in length and 0.6 m to 1.20 m in breadth that is typically wrapped around the waist, with one end draped over the shoulder, baring the midriff.

The sarees are usually worn with a fitted upper garment commonly called as blouse. The blouse has short sleeves and is usually cropped at the midriff.

Kashmiri sarees are available in silk and jorjet fabrics with needle or ari embroidery.
